About

Purple Moon Lavender Farm ...

"Why lavender?" we are asked time and again when people visit our farm. For many years we raised traditional Lancaster County crops including corn, soybeans, hay and tobacco. Lavender is a semi-shrub, part of the mint family, which has been recognized for thousands of years for its beauty and versatility. Lavender can be found it soaps, lotions, home products, and even the kitchen!

Purple Moon Lavender Farm offers local lavender blooms and products as well as seasonal events to highlight our beautiful crop. We started our farm as a retirement project in 2023. We added honey bees and a 1/3 acre of wildflowers to a pollinator area. In 2025, we are also a registered Monarch Waystation! Our secluded hollow offers both beauty and serenity. We delight in finding new ways to infuse your home with lavender and are excited to share our love of lavender with our neighbors.
